Dr. Louis Stryker, an orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in joint reconstruction and replacement, has joined Rocky Mountain Orthopaedic Associates in Grand Junction.
“I believe in tailoring treatment to each patient based on his or her specific problems, limitations and goals,” Stryker said. “I’m committed to hearing and understanding your problem, establishing a clear diagnosis and then explaining available options so a treatment plan can be made together.”
Stryker is fellowship trained in the replacement and reconstruction of the hip and knee, including conservative non-surgical management of disorders of those joints. His expertise includes direct anterior hip replacement, muscle-sparing approaches to the knee and rapid recovery protocols. He performs primary hip and knee replacement, partial knee replacement and revision hip and knee replacement in which he replaces worn out joint replacements.
Prior to joining Rocky Mountain Orthopaedic Associates, Stryker served as an assistant professor of adult joint reconstruction at the University of Texas medical branch at Galveston. He previously held the same position at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.
Stryker received his fellowship training in adult joint reconstruction from OrthoCarolina Hip and Knee Center in Charlotte, N.C., He completed his residency at the Mayo Clinic Department of Orthopaedic Surgery in Rochester, Minn.
