An annual event celebrating outdoor activities is set for 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 30 at the Riverbend Park in Palisade.
A total of more than 40 agencies, businesses and organizations will provide information, guidance and support to outdoor adventurers as part of Outdoor Heritage Day.
A variety of exhibits and educational activities will be featured, including boating safety, fishing, hunting, wildlife management, archery and firearms safety, gold panning, tying flies and watching wildlife.
Colorado Parks and Wildlife will stock the park pond with large trout ready to be caught. Participants can bring their own fishing gear or use one of hundreds of fishing rods provided free by Great Outdoors Colorado and CPW.
Event organizers also will provide a free hotdog lunch for participants from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
