Panel discussion to focus on growth

A panel discussion about the community and the effects of growth has been scheduled for the Mesa County Libraries central library in Grand Junction.

The discussion is set for 5:30 p.m. Oct. 16 at the library, 443 N. Sixth St. The event is free and open to the public.

The presentation will feature five panelists:

Rob Bleiberg, executive director of the Colorado West Land Trust.

Robin Brown, executive director of the Grand Junction Economic Partnership.

Greg Caton, Grand Junction city manager.

Cathy Ebel, director of student operations for Mesa County School District 51.

Michelle Hoy, executive vice president of Mind Springs Health.

Each panelist will speak for 15 to 20 minutes. An additional 15 minutes will be allowed questions from the audience.

Mesa County Libraries will cohost the discussion with the Community Impact Council, a group that fosters collaboration among nonprofit organizations providing services in Mesa County and the business and government entities that support them.
