Parade of homes showcases local builders

An annual Grand Valley event showcasing homes constructed by local builders is scheduled to continue Oct. 21 to 23.

The Parade of Homes is set for 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Oct. 21 and  22 and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 22. Tickets sell for $10 and are available at City Market stores.

The event will feature 13 homes constructed by 10 builders — Carter Homes, Chronos Builders, Conquest Construction, Copper Creek Builders, Davidson Homes, G.J. Gardner Homes, Maves Construction, Porter Homes, Senergy Builders and Zag Built. Representatives from the builders will be available to point out special features and answer questions.

The homes range in size from 1,650 square feet to 3,547 square feet. Nine homes are located in Grand Junction and four in Fruita.

Tour participants will vote on their selections for People’s Choice Awards in three categories as well as join in a scavenger hunt in which the winner will receive a $500 gift certificate to American Furniture Warehouse.
