Peterson Plumbing in Grand Junction is collecting food through Dec. 21 for a holiday drive for Hope of the Grand Valley.

For every donation of a nonperishable food item, Peterson Plumbing will offer a $2 coupon towards services up to a total of $40. Participants can donate directly to a service technician for an immediate discount or drop off donations to the Peterson Plumbing offices at 570 S. Westgate Drive.

“We realize the holidays can be a stressful time when you’re trying to make ends meet. Our goal is to help lessen the burden and stress for these families,” said Robin Stevens, co-owner of Peterson Plumbing.

Hope of the Grand Valley offers assistance to low-income families that are employed and don’t receive government benefits.
