Plumbing business collecting food for holiday drive

Peterson Plumbing will once again collect food in a holiday drive to benefit families served by Hope of the Grand Valley.

“The holidays aren’t always happy for everyone. It can be a stressful time, especially if you’re struggling to make ends meet. Our goal is to help lessen that burden,” said Robin Stevens, owner of the Grand Junction plumbing, heating, cooling and drain company.

Peterson Plumbing will collect non-perishable foods through Nov. 30 and donate them to Hope of the Grand Valley. The nonprofit organization offers assistance to low-income families that are employed and don’t receive government benefits.

For every donation of a nonperishable food item, Peterson Plumbing will offer a $2 coupon towards services up to a total of $40. Participants can donate directly to a service technician for an immediate discount or drop off donations at Peterson Plumbing offices at 457 S. Fifth St.
