Terri Schmitt, a podiatrist with Rocky Mountain Orthopaedic Associates in Grand Junction, has been appointed to the Colorado Podiatry Board.
Schmitt is among four podiatrists appointed to the board by Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper. Schmitt will serve a four-year term. The board regulates the practice of podiatry and ensures licensed professionals meet standards of care.
Schmitt has practiced in the Grand Valley since 1993 and is certified in foot surgery by the American Board of Foot & Ankle Surgery.
“It is my honor to serve the state of Colorado and to be able to give back to my profession,” Schmitt said.
Dale Reigle, chief executive officer of Rocky Mountain Orthopaedic Associates, said it’s not surprising Schmitt was appointed to the board. “Dr. Schmitt has always exemplified the highest standards of professionalism, patient advocacy and personal integrity.”
