A Grand Junction group will host a presentation exploring the relationships between hydraulic fracturing and earthquakes. The presentation is open to the public.
The Grand Junction Geological Society has scheduled the presentation for a joint meeting with geology students at Colorado Mesa University. The meeting is set for 7:30 p.m. Jan. 21 in the Saccomanno Lecture Hall in the Wubben Science Building at CMU.
Don Clarke, a consulting petroleum geologist and instructor at the University of Southern California, will deliver a presentation titled: “Hydraulic Fracturing and Earthquakes: Ethically, How Do We Move Forward and Do The Right Thing?”
Clarke also serves as a distinguished lecturer with the American Association of Petroleum Geologists.
