A Grand Junction-based precision mapping solutions company has earned certification for meeting standards for software as a service provider.

ProStar Geocorp has achieved Type 2 and 3 Service Organization Control compliance for meeting or exceeding standards for security, availability and confidentiality.

“Our highest priority is keeping our customers’ information and important data safe and secure,” said Vasa Dasan, chief operating officer at ProStar Geocorp. “Achieving SOC certification means we’ve met a required level of standard for processes and practices across our entire organization. Our certified compliance is a proven symbol of our ongoing commitment to the security of our clients’ data so they can focus on the important task of growing and maintaining their businesses.”

Developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, SOC certification offers assurance service providers securely manage data to protect the privacy of their clients. The Moore Group conducted the audit of ProStar Geocorp.
