
Darren Starr has retired as public works manager of the City of Grand Junction after a 36-year tenure with the city.
Starr managed trash collection, street maintenance and snow removal. He served as a solid waste manager and also managed the streets and stormwater divisions and for 11-months managed Two Rivers Convention Center.
“Darren has contributed a great deal to our community since he started with the organization, and his legacy will include his work ethic and dedication to the city,” said Trent Prall, city public works director.
