An electronic waste recycling event will continue through April at Grand Junction Subaru, 2496 U.S. Highway 6 & 50.
Participants can bring in a variety of unwanted electronics for recycling, including computers and computer monitors, DVD and VCR players, fax machines, printers and televisions. Alkaline batteries, ballasts and kitchen appliances won’t be accepted, however.
“We believe in making our community and our world a better place. “That’s why we build fuel-efficient vehicles in eco-friendly plants,” said Ron Bubar, owner of Grand Junction Subaru. “This recycling event is just one more way we can help our community and our earth.”
Grand Junction Subaru has joined with a company that will collect, recycle and re-purpose electronics. “All you have to do is show up at the dealership with your unwanted items, and we will take care of the rest,” Bubar said.
