An accountant with more than 20 years of experience has been elected chief executive officer of the largest public accounting firm based in Western Colorado.
Christopher West will become CEO of Dalby, Wendland & Co. effective July 1. West will focus on leadership and the direction of the firm, including operations, staffing, services, technology and growth strategies.
“We are positioning Dalby Wendland for a dynamic future,” said Greg Keller, president of the Grand Junction-based firm. “Chris has shown strong leadership, insight and is committed to our people, client and communities. He is the right person to lead this organization and successfully implement our firm’s vision. We look forward to our next era.”
West said he’s honored to serve the firm as CEO. “We have great people who care about our clients and vision. I look forward to continuing the strong leadership Greg, our board of directors and all of our past leaders have provided in making Dalby Wendland what it is today.”
West joined Dalby Wendland in 1996 after graduating from what’s now Colorado Mesa University in Grand Junction. West became a tax principal in 2009. He’s also served as principal in charge of the Grand Junction office and board treasurer.
A certified public accountant, West belongs to the Colorado Society of CPAs and American Institute of CPAs. He’s served as a board member of the Western Colorado Community Foundation and Colorado West Estate Planning Council and member of the HopeWest Planned Giving Council and the investment committee of the Colorado Mesa University Foundation.
