Registration is underway for an annual economic summit scheduled for 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 6 in the University Center at Colorado Mesa University in Grand Junction.
The Grand Junction Economic Partnership will host the summit, which will focus this year on conscious capitalism and what’s called the fourth sector.
“The fourth sector refers to the intersection of nonprofit and for-profit industries,” said Robin Brown, executive director of GJEP. “Our community has a strong culture of philanthropy and history of businesses supporting the nonprofit sector.”
The summit will include breakout sessions that will address such issues as commercial air service, education, health care, technology and workforce development.
The luncheon keynote address will feature Jonathan Liebert, chief executive officer and executive director of the Colorado Institute for Social Impact and Better Business Bureau of Western Colorado.
Admission is $75 for the full summit and $50 for the luncheon. To register or obtain more information, call 245-4332 or visit www.westcoeconomicsummit.com.
