Registration is under way for an annual event offering in one day and at one location a range of information to entrepreneurs.
The 2010 Colorado Entrepreneurship Marketplace is scheduled for Oct. 15 in Limon. The event is designed for wouldbe entrepreneurs considering starting their own ventures as well as existing small business owners looking to expand their operations.
Sessions at the marketplace will cover such topics as agricultural diversification, business and community development, financing, marketing and technology. Sessions also will offer information on funding resources, marketing on a shoestring budget and social networking.
Two keynote presentations are planned, featuring Judy Canales, administrator for business and cooperative programs for the Department of Agriculture Rural Development, and Nick May, founder of Seeds, an education and mentoring company for small businesses in Colorado.
An exhibit hall will feature companies and organizations that provide services to entrepreneurs. Exhibit booths are available for $100 each.
In addition, a “store” set up at the event will allow businesses and artisans to sell goods made in Colorado.
An early registration rate of $30 is available, which includes attendance to all sessions, lunch and a Taste of the Eastern Plains reception.
