Registration under way for leadership event

Registration is under way for a local telecast of a national leadership event.

Express Employment Professionals of Grand Junction and Montrose will host a simulcast of the Refresh Leadership event on April 13 at the Mesa County Workforce Center, located at
512 29 1/2 Road in Grand Junction. Registration is set to begin at 8:15 a.m., followed by the simulcast at 8:55 a.m.

To register for the Refresh Leadership event, log on to While there’s no cost to attend, Express Employment Professionals in Grand Junction and Montrose asks for a $10 donation to the Kiwanis Club of Grand Junction.

The seventh version of the annual Refresh Leadership event is expected to attract a total of more than 10,000 participants across the United States and Canada. The event is designed to help participants become more effective in leadership roles and inspire those who work with them.

The 2016 event will feature Marshall Goldsmith, an executive coach; Shaquille O’Neal, a television sports analyst and  former professional basketball star; and Kaplan Mobray, a career consultant.

Goldsmith, who also works as an author and professor, will lead a presentation titled “What Got You Here Won’t Get You There.” O’Neal will conduct a question-and-answer session titled “Leadership Lessons From Inside the Paint.” Mobray will discuss  “The 10 Ls of Leadership.”

“Express has a strong presence in Western Colorado, and we are pleased to offer the Refresh Leadership simulcast as a way to give back to the community,” Anderson said.
