RE/MAX, a global real estate franchise with offices in 85 countries, continues to fare well in an annual magazine ranking.
RE/MAX received the highest ranking among real estate franchises and came in at 16th among all franchises in the 2012 Top 200 published in the October edition of Franchise Times magazine.
The annual ranking is based on worldwide sales. Other franchises in the latest Top 200 ranking included 7-11, Hertz, Hyatt Motels and McDonald’s.
“RE/MAX is pleased to be ranked alongside many of the most respected franchise names in the world,” said Margaret Kelly, chief executive officer of RE/MAX, which is based in Denver. “As we make plans to celebrate our 40th anniversary, we recognize the outstanding performance of our agents as our greatest resource and the reason that RE/MAX is so often honored in surveys like the Top 200.”
RE/MAX reported growth with worldwide franchise sales through September up 22 percent from the same period last year. Franchise sales in Brazil are 229 percent higher than 2011. In Southern Africa, sales are up 77 percent. In the United States, the company’s central and northern Ohio regions led the way with an 8 percent increase in franchise sales.
