Bin 707 Foodbar in Grand Junction prepared food for a Taste of Colorado event held as part of the U.S. Travel Association International Pow Wow in New Orleans.

The event marked the fourth time the Colorado Tourism Office has invited Bin 707 Foodbar to participate in tourism events outside Colorado — the only restaurant outside the Denver area accorded that honor.

Bin 707 Foodbar also was invited to prepare food at the Wine in the Mine Party at the Aspen Food & Wine Classic.

Bin 707 Foodbar specializes in using Grand Valley and Colorado products, including locally grown farm products and locally produced wines and spirits. “We are thrilled to be able to showcase the best of Western Colorado,” said owner Josh Niernberg.

Niernberg and his wife, Jodi, plan to open a second restaurant in downtown Grand Junction this fall.

Bin 707 Foodbar is located in the Alpine Bank building at 225 N. Fifth St. For more information, call 243-4543 or visit the Web site at
