Revolution Salon in Grand Junction has scheduled a benefit event to raise money for a child recently diagnosed with leukemia.

What’s billed as a cut-a-thon is planned for Dec. 2 at Revolution Salon, located at 616 North Ave. Stylists will cut hair for children and men all day for a donation as well as offer a full blowout for women. Donations also will be accepted at the salon.

Proceeds from the event will go to help 2-year-old Matix Smith, who has been diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
