Rocky Mountain Cummins and the Kohl’s store in Grand Junction joined in an effort that allowed 31 at-risk youth involved in the Mesa County Partners program to shop for new clothes.
Rocky Mountain Cummings provided a $3,000 donation and employee volunteers to help with shopping. The youth who participated in the Dec. 2 event at Kohl’s each had a budget of $110 to purchase new clothes in addition to a discount provided by Kohl’s.
Partners offers various programs helping young people develop a positive self-image, a sense of belonging and an acceptance of responsibility for their actions. For more information, log on to the website at www.mesapartners.org.
