Rocky Mountain Health Plans ranks among the best health benefits providers in Colorado in one measure of an annual consumer assessment.
The Grand Junction-based organization rated better than average in correctly processing medical claims in the latest Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems.
Cigna HealthCare of Colorado, Kaiser Permanente and United Healthcare of Colorado earned the highest overall rankings. The Colorado Business Group on Health (CBGH), a coalition of large purchasers of health care services, released a report on the assessment. The assessment was based on the results of surveys of consumers and patients asked to evaluate their health care experiences.
“Studies have shown that consumers care most about other consumer ratings of plans, so we’ve provided rankings based on consumer satisfaction surveys in addition to ratings of accredited plans from nationally recognized resources,” said Donna Marshall, executive director of the CBGH.
