A Grand Junction waste removal company continues to rank among the fastest-growing firms in the United States.
Rocky Mountain Sanitation ranks 4,873rd in the 2010 Inc. magazine listing of the 5,000 fastest-growing privately held companies in the country. Rocky Mountain Sanitation has made the list four consecutive years.
Rocky Mountain Sanitation ranked 71st among firms in the environmental services industry.
“This recognition is the result of our hard work and attention to building customer relations,” said Lisa Mullen, owner of Rocky Mountain Sanitation.
Inc. magazine has compiled a list of the 500 fastest-growing companies for nearly 30 years and expanded the list to 5,000 four years ago.
The 2010 rankings are based on the percentage of revenue growth between 2006 and 2009.
Annual revenue for Rocky Mountain Sanitation increased 6 percent — from $2.5 million to $2.7 million.
Lisa and Loren Mullen founded Rocky Mountain Sanitation in 1997 with two trucks and one employee. Today, the company serves a total of more than 10,000 commercial and residential customers with 16 trucks and 20 employees. Earlier this year, the company relocated to a new, 6,000-square foot office and shop facility located on more than 4 acres of land along 23 Road.
Lisa Mullen attributed her company’s growth to a commitment to provide clean and reliable trash removal services at affordable prices.
