SCL Health, a health care organization that operates St. Mary’s Medical Center in Grand Junction, has received national recognition for its use of information technology.
SCL Health received a 2019 Most Wired Award from the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME). The annual program recognizes health care organizations that use information technology to improve patient safety and outcomes. Survey results and awards are made public to highlight innovation, identify trends and share best practices.
“CHIME’s Most Wired Award recognizes the highest performing health care systems in the country and across the globe based upon their use of advanced technology that positively impacts efficiency, quality outcomes and patient experience,” said Craig Richardville, senior vice president and chief information officer for SCL Health. “It is an honor to have earned this recognition among the nation’s top performers.”
SCL Health earned recognition as a Certified Level 8, qualifying the organization for the quality award in the program. Health care organizations at the level use technology to analyze data to achieve clinical and efficiency outcomes.
Founded by the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth in 1864, what’s now SCL Health provides care through eight hospitals, more than 100 clinics and a range of programs primarily in Colorado and Montana. For additional information, visit the website located at www.sclhealth.org.
