Senior care company wins community award

A senior care company in Grand Junction is the first winner of an award recognizing businesses that give back to the community.

Must Love Seniors Senior Care received the Commitment to Community Award presented during the Colorado Small Business Development Center Leading Edge graduation ceremony in Denver.

“This award is brand new this year, where we’d like to recognize a business that has significantly given back to their community,” said Rosy McDonough, interim director of the Colorado SBDC Network.

Diana Reed, founder and owner of MLS Senior Care, said the award means her company fulfills her commitment to put community first. “I want to encourage each and every one of my staff to use caregiving as a stepping stone to reach their ultimate potential and ultimate goals, regardless of what that may be.”

Reed opened MLS Senior Care in April 2016 while attending the Leading Edge business planning course offered at the Small Business Development Center in Grand Junction. Three years later, the business employs 32 caregivers and provides services to more than 70 clients.

The company offers a range of services that include help with bathing, housekeeping and meal preparation as well as respite care and wellness checks. For more information, call 314-2993 or visit
