Senior living facilities under management of joint venture

Two Grand Junction facilities are under the management of a new joint venture between a real estate investment trust that owns the properties and senior living management services provider.

Solstice Senior Living has assumed management of the Atrium of Grand Valley and Mesa View and renamed the facilities Solstice Senior Living at Grand Valley and Solstice Senior Living at Mesa View.

Solstice Senior Living at Grand Valley is located at 3250 N. 12th St. Solstice Senior Living at Mesa County is located at 601 Horizon Place.

“Living and working at Grand Valley and Mesa View will only get better as we introduce new activities and culinary programs,” said Kristin Woods, a regional director of sales and marketing  supporting both properties. “So, aside from getting used to the new names, residents, associates, family members and community friends should not expect any disruption in their day-to-day experiences.”

Solstice Senior Living is a joint venture of NorthStar Healthcare Income and Integral Senior Living.

NorthStar Healthcare Income invests in the senior housing sector, including assisted-living, independent, memory care and skilled-care facilities. Headquartered in California, Integrated Senior Living manages senior living facilities in 22 states.

Solstice Senior Living has assumed management of 32 senior living communities nationwide. NorthStar Healthcare Income retains ownership, while Integral Senior Living provides management services.

“Solstice will create value for our residents by optimizing operations and programming, with the goal of taking our residents’ experience to a new level,” said Gerald Jackson, the new senior vice president of Solstice Senior Living. Jackson brings more than 30 years of industry experience to the position.

Solstice Senior Living at Grand Valley and Mesa View will join the other Solstice communities in offering what’s branded as the Vibrant Life activity program and Elevate culinary program.

Vibrant Life focuses on seven core components, ranging from inspiration and wellness to adventure and community connections. The program promotes joyful experiences, meaningful endeavors and opportunities to connect residents with family, friends and the community.

Elevate provides residents with flexible and changing culinary options. Monthly meetings involve residents in culinary and menu decisions.
