Donations of canned foods will be accepted through Dec. 15 at Simply Mac in Grand Junction as part of a drive for the Western Slope Food Bank of the Rockies.
Participants in the drive will receive a coupon good for $5 off the next purchase of $50 or more. In addition, Simply Mac will donate five pounds of food to the food bank for every purchase of a computer during the Meals for Macs drive.
“Simply Mac is excited to partner with Western Slope Food Bank of the Rockies,” said Steve Bain, president of Simply Mac. “Simply Mac has been holding the Simply Mac Meals for Macs food drive in other areas for the last three years. Now, with the addition of our new location in Grand Junction, we look forward to helping people in the local community.”
Starlene Collins, manager of the Western Slope Food Bank of the Rockies, said she appreciates that help. “Even though we cannot eliminate poverty, our goal is to eliminate hunger.”
Simply Mac operates a total of nine locations in Colorado, Idaho, Utah and Wyoming selling and repairing Macintosh computers and other Apple products.
