The Museums of Western Colorado and The Art Center of Western Colorado are presenting Spider Woman & Trading Posts, a special collaborative exhibition on view from Jan. 17 through March 21 at the Museum of the West, 462 Ute Ave. in downtown Grand Junction.
This exhibition explores the evolution of Diné (Navajo) weaving traditions, tracing their origins through cultural teachings of Spider Woman to the development of regional styles shaped by historic trading posts across the Navajo Reservation.

Featuring works from the permanent collections of both organizations, Spider Woman & Trading Posts highlights the artistry, innovation and enduring cultural significance of Diné weavers, from early trade textiles to contemporary expressions that blend and expand traditional styles.
