A Grand Junction staffing service has planned an initiative to not only help people find work during the holidays, but also help needy families serve holiday meals.
Express Employment Professionals has scheduled a Pay it Forward Hiring Drive for Dec. 8 to 19 to provide job seekers an opportunity to earn a week’s worth of pay during the holidays.
For every employee placed during the drive, Express Employment Professionals also will donate a ham or turkey to the Community Food Bank of Grand Junction for Christmas dinners.
“Pay it forward to us means working with local businesses to help find jobs for unemployed workers in our community so they can earn a paycheck and help support their families this season,” said Nina Anderson, owner of the Express Employment Professionals franchise in Grand Junction. “Our vision is to lock arms with businesses in Grand Junction to bring hope to local families for the holidays.”
Express Employment Professionals screens job seekers before placing them in assignments. The service provides temporary help and direct-hire employees for a range of industry sectors. Businesses and individuals interest in participating in the upcoming Pay it Forward Hiring Drive should call 242-4500 for additional information.
