Subaru to share the love with animal shelter

Grand Junction Subaru has selected the Roice-Hurst Humane Society as the beneficiary of its latest Share the Love charity event.

For every new Subaru vehicle sold or leased at Grand Junction Subaru through Jan. 2, Subaru will donate $250 to the Grand Valley animal shelter.

“We are so pleased to be part of this great event for a great cause,” said Ron Bubar, owner of Grand Junction Subaru. “Roice-Hurst is a strong partner of Grand Junction Subaru and we are thrilled to share the love with them. It’s part of our organization’s culture to support causes that are important to our customers.”

Subaru of America donated $10 million to charities across the United States last year through Share the Love events. The company is committed to donating $15 million this year.

Mark Davis, president of the Roice-Hurst Human Society board of directors, said he’s grateful the shelter was selected as a Subaru hometown charity. “We rely on the support of both individual and business donors to enable us to carry out our lifesaving mission. So being chosen as a local charitable recipient through Subaru’s national Share the Love campaign gives us another reason to be thankful heading into this holiday season.”
