Subway restaurants have joined in a nationwide effort to raise money for a network of food banks.
On National Sandwich Day on Nov. 3, customers who purchase any sub sandwich and a drink at participating Subway restaurants will receive an additional sandwich of equal or lessor value, and Subway will donate the monetary equivalent of a meal to Feeding America.
“Many of our franchisees have been committed to fighting hunger in their communities for years, and we’re proud of the Good Deed Feed and the impact it will have on a national level,” said Suzanne Greco, president and chief executive officer of Subway.
Diana Aviv, CEO of Feeding America, said donations from the campaign will help the 200 member food banks of the organization provide meals to people in need.
