Suicide intervention training planned

The Western Colorado Suicide Prevention Foundation and Colorado Mesa University will offer suicide intervention training.

Two sessions of Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training are set for 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. July 11 and 12 on the CMU campus in Grand Junction. Attendance is required both days. Participants will learn how to identify if someone is at risk of suicide and learn the necessary skills to intervene.

The training costs $125, $75 for CMU faculty and students. Scholarships could be available.
