Richard Ackerson, a doctor who specializes in hand surgery, and Terri Schmitt, a podiatrist, have joined Rocky Mountain Orthopaedic Associates based in Grand Junction.
Ackerson joined Rocky Mountain Orthopaedic Associates after completing a fellowship in hand and microvascular surgery at the University of California Los Angeles. Prior to his medical training, Ackerson served for nearly 10 years in the Marine Corps. Ackerson’s practice focuses on the diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of conditions of the hand and forearm.
Schmitt long as practiced podiatry in the Grand Valley. She provides care for patients with a variety of foot problems, including bone spurs, bunions, hammertoes, heel pain, neuromas and toenail disorders. She also provides diabetic foot care.
