Surgeons put a fresh face on their practice

Two plastic surgeons have changed the name of their Grand Junction practice to better portray their services and objectives.

Dr. Duane Hartshorn and Dr. Matthew Swelstad have renamed Colorado West Cosmetic and Reconstructive Plastic Surgery to ReGenesis Plastic Surgery and Skin Care Center.

“By changing our name, we better portray our mission,” said Hartshorn, who has practiced with Swelstad since 2007. “We specialize in comprehensive plastic surgery and skin care services that refresh and rejuvenate our patients.”

Hartshorn offers cosmetic and reconstructive surgery and also sees patients with head and neck cancer and conditions of the ears, nose and throat. Swelstad, also a cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgeon, has written book chapters and journal articles on such topics as facial rejuvenation, breast deformities and conditions of the skull and face.

“Plastic surgery won’t create perfection or change the way people treat you, so we want our patients to go through with a procedure, whether it be breast augmentation or a tummy tuck, with realistic expectations,” Swelstad said.

In addition to surgical and such nonsurgical procedures as Botox and Juvederm, ReGenesis Plastic Surgery and Skin Care Center also offers the services of an in-house aesthetician, including facials, micro peels, body waxing and Latisse eyelash enhancement.

“Your skin is an important part of keeping yourself looking young and refreshed,” Swelstad said.

ReGenesis Plastic Surgery and Skin Care Center is located in the physician’s tower at St. Mary’s Hospital at 425 Patterson Road, Suite 506. For more information, log on to the new website located at www.regenesisplasticsurgery.com.
