Taco Bell franchise donates to three groups

ColCal, a Taco Bell franchise headquartered in Grand Junction, has donated a total of nearly $9,000 to three Mesa County organizations as part of its Graduate To Go fund-raiser.

ColCal donated $2,940 each to Mesa County Partners, Karis and CASA of Mesa County.

“The teens in our area are our employees and our customers. They are our family members and our future. It is important to us to show them how much we care and do what we can to invest in their future,” said Ken Basinger, owner of ColCal. “We want the community to know the money they donate to Graduate To Go is used to help the teens right in our own neighborhood. I grew up in Grand Junction and I feel empowered to give back to the community I care so deeply for.”

Since 1992, the Taco Bell Foundation for Teens has strived to inspire and motivate teens to graduate from high school and invest in their futures. Each year, Taco Bell restaurants participate in Graduate to Go fund-raisers to give back to the communities in which they’re located.
