The former auto-repair building at 2260 North Ave. (northwest corner of 23rd Street and North Avenue intersection) has been demolished. In its place, a Take 5 Oil Change will be built. According to a Mesa County building permit that was issued May 11, the description of work calls for a new build for a one-story, 1,778 square-foot, express-oil-change-service building.

Founded in Louisiana in 1984, Take 5 Oil Change says on its website, www.take5.com, it offers stay-in-your-car express oil changes that usually wrap up in about 10 minutes. Data company ScrapeHero reported as of June 10 this year there are 1,350 Take 5 Oil Change locations across the nation.
