Papa Murphy’s, a take n’ bake pizza chain whose 1,350 stores includes two locations in the Grand Valley, ranks first in two consumer surveys.
Papa Murphy’s placed first among full- and limited-service food chains in the 2013 Consumer Restaurant Brand Metrics ranking by Technomic, a food industry consulting and research firm. In a two-year study in which 80,000 people were polled, Papa Murphy’s ranked first for convenience, hospitality, service and value.
Papa Murphy’s also ranked first among pizza chains and third overall in the 2013 Consumer Picks survey conducted by Nation’s Restaurant News and WD Partners, a global strategy firm. The survey asked consumers to rate brands on atmosphere, cleanliness, food quality, service and value.
In addition, Papa Murphy’s has ranked as Zagat’s top-rated pizza chain for the past three years.
Ken Calwell, chief executive officer of Papa Murphy’s, attributed brand loyalty to fresh dough, cheese and toppings and a business model that sells high-quality food at lower prices because of low overhead. “We are very grateful to be named No. 1 and proud that our owners invest in these extra steps so families can enjoy their perfect pizza.”
In the Grand Valley, Papa Murphy’s operates locations at 2546 Rimrock Ave. in Grand Junction and 569 32 Road in Clifton. For more information, visit www.papamurphys.com.
