Deedra Testa, a licensed physical therapist assistant at Family health West in Fruita, attended a national conference in Las Vegas to learn about aquatic therapy techniques.
Testa attended an Aqua Stretch speciality certificate program as well as courses in water rehabilitation, post-stroke treatment and lower leg and foot therapies. She also learned about techniques to treat patients with chronic pain and fibromyalgia.
“As an aquatic therapy professional, I am aware of the public’s demand for treatment which should provide results and incorporate the latest research and information in the field,” Testa said. “Attending this conference provided educational opportunities which will benefit me as I can share these new techniques and ideas with my clients.”
