This Juniper flourishes with an SBA 504 Loan

Juniper Family Medicine is a local, family medical practice located in Historic Downtown Grand Junction.  The medical group was able to construct their building in 2011 using the SBA 504 Loan Program.  Working with CEDCO representative Pat Berry, the group was able to secure an SBA 504 loan that incorporated a low down payment and a fixed interest rate on a portion of the loan. Having this loan made available, CEDCO has helped the three doctors – Dr. Laura Campbell, Dr. Andrea Nederveld and Dr. Kate Pierce—make their dreams of going into private practice a reality. Their primary care office is located at 735 White Ave. Juniper Family Medicine specializes in Family Practice, along with Obstetrics, Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. Additionally, Juniper’s diverse range of specialties allows the doctors to help patients of all ages.

Dr. Campbell grew up in Colorado and attended the University of Colorado at Boulder.  After a year in Africa and another in Australia, New Zealand and Central America, she received her MD from Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine in Chicago. Her residency was completed at St. Mary’s Family Practice and she is board certified in Family Medicine. Dr. Campbell performs low risk obstetrical deliveries, and also enjoys women’s and children’s health.

Dr. Nederveld was born in the West but she received her undergraduate education at the University of Michigan. She then spent two years in West Africa working on an HIV/AIDS prevention project before returning to Michigan for medical school, graduating in 2000.  Dr. Nederveld then completed an Internal Medicine and Pediatrics residency program through the University of Michigan and at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital.  In 2005, Dr. Nederveld and her husband moved to Grand Junction. She worked at the St. Mary’s Family Medicine Residency Program and at Marillac Clinic before joining Juniper Family Medicine.

Dr. Pierce originally attended Florida State University, after which she migrated to the Pacific Northwest for medical school at Oregon Health Sciences University. Coming to Colorado for residency at St. Mary’s Hospital in Family Medicine allowed her to continue to enjoy many outdoor activities as well as pursue her career in medicine. She worked for Primary Care Partners from 2003 to 2011, allowing her to enjoy and experience many aspects of family practice while treating patients whose ages range over many decades. She is also experienced with obstetrics. Dr. Pierce looks forward to providing the same, quality medical care, but now in a smaller setting in Downtown Grand Junction.
