Three elected to wine trade group board

Jay Christianson, Doug Caskey and Linda Brauns have been elected to three-year terms on the Colorado Association for Viticulture and Enology (CAVE) Board of Directors.

Christian and his wife, Jennifer, own Canyon Wind Cellars and Anemoi Wines in Palisade. Jay Christian also works as lead winemaker for Canyon Wind Cellars. Jennifer Christian also serves on the board.

Caskey is executive director of the Colorado Wine Industry Development Board, a part of the Colorado Department of Agriculture that promotes Colorado wines and wine-related tourism.

Brauns and her husband recently purchased a vineyard on East Orchard Mesa near Palisade. Linda Brauns also brings to the board more than 20 years of experience in finance and strategic planning, most recently as a vice president of Starz Entertainment.

The three join a nine-member that also includes Tom Bueb of Turquoise Mesa Winery, Guy Drew of Guy Drew Vineyards, Noami Smith of Grande River Vineyards, Bruce Talbott of Talbott’s Mountain Gold and Brooke Webb of Mesa Park Vineyards.
