United Airlines plans seasonal service between Grand Junction and Chicago

United Airlines has announced plans to offer a weekly flight between Grand Junction and Chicago beginning in June.

The flight is one of 11 new routes that will connect United Airlines hubs with summer vacation destinations in Colorado as well as California, Florida, Oregon, Michigan and Nova Scotia.

“We are focused on giving our customers more reasons to choose to fly United Airlines,” said Ankit Gupta, vice president of domestic network planning and scheduling. “With nearly 100 new routes announced this year, we continue to deliver on our commitment to build a global network with destinations where our customers want to fly.”

Seasonal service between the Grand Junction Regional Airport and O’Hare International Airport in Chicago is scheduled for Saturdays beginning June 8 aboard Bombardier CRJ-700 regional jets. Flights are scheduled to leave O’Hare at 10 a.m. and land in Grand Junction at 12:12 p.m. Flights are scheduled to leave Grand Junction at 12:50 p.m. and land at O’Hare at 4:40 p.m.

The new flights will add to commercial air service connecting Grand Junction with Denver, Dallas, Las Vegas, Phoenix and Salt Lake City.

United Airlines also announced plans to add routes between Durango and Chicago and Durango and Houston with Saturday flights.
