An annual event showcasing the Colorado wine industry has been scheduled for June 8 at Infinity Park in Glendale.
The Colorado Urban Winefest will serve as the capstone event of the third annual Colorado Wine Week set for June 2 to 8. More than 40 Colorado wineries are expected to participate in the winefest and offer samples. More than 2,500 people are expected to attend the event, surpassing the record set last year.
In addition to samples, wine will be available to purchase by the glass, bottle or case. Food and other artisanal products also will be sold. Moreover, the festival will include educational seminars, chef demonstrations and live entertainment.
General admission tickets sell for $40 and are available online from the website at www.coloradowinefest.com.
The Colorado Association of Viticulture and Enology, a trade association of winegrape growers and wineries, hosts the Colorado Urban Winefest and Colorado Mountain Winefest in Palisade as fund-raisers.
