Walgreens and AARP once again will offer free health screenings in the Grand Valley.
The Walgreens Way to Well Health Bus Tour will include stops set for 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 16 at the Commons of HIlltop, 625 1/2 Road in Grand Junction and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 17 at Homeward Bound of the Grand Valley at 2853 North Ave. in Grand Junction. A third stop is scheduled for 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 18 at the Walgreens Drug Store at 316 W. Aspen Ave. in Fruita.
The free screenings are designed to assess the risk for cancer, diabetes and heart disease and will include tests for cholesterol, glucose, blood pressure and weight. The tests can be completed in about 20 minutes. Afterwards, participants may consult with a wellness specialist or pharmacist about the results.
