The Oscar Meyer Wienermobile is scheduled to appear at an annual Halloween event in Fruita.
The iconic 27-foot-long automobile shaped like a hot dog on a bun will be among the attractions at the Fruita Recreation Department Truck-N-Treat set for 10 a.m. to noon Oct. 29 at Civic Center Park, 325 E. Aspen Ave.
Truck-N-Treat will offer families with young children an opportunity to explore different types of vehicles while also collecting treats. The event will include cement mixers, fire trucks, limousines, police cars, school buses and tow trucks. An inflatable slide, photo booth and concessions also are planned.
Children should come dressed in Halloween costumes and bring a bucket with which to collect candy.
Oscar Meyer operates six Wienermobiles. Drivers are called Hotdoggers and often hand out toy whistles shaped as replicas of the Wienermobile.
