West Slope companies among top 250 private firms in Colorado

FCI Constructors tops a list of Western Slope companies that rank among the top 250 private firms in Colorado.

FCI Constructors, a construction management and contracting firm based in Grand Junction, ranks ninth in the 2011 list compiled by Colorado Biz magazine. FCI Constructors ranked even higher at seventh in the 2010 list.

The 2011 ranking is based on self-reported gross revenues for 2010.

“ColoradoBiz top 250 private companies in Colorado is the most comprehensive ranking of private companies throughout the state. With the number of companies that submitted, to have made the top 250 list is impressive,” said Mike Taylor, managing editor of ColoradoBiz.

FCI Constructors reported 2010 revenues of more than $252 million.

Alpine Bank, a regional bank  headquartered in Glenwood Springs with 47 locations across Western Colorado, ranks 21st in the 2011 listing, down seven spots from last year. Alpine Bank reported 2010 revenues of nearly $149 million.

JG Management Systems, a technical management consulting company based in Grand Junction, ranks 137th, up eight places from last year.

JG Management Systems reported revenues of almost $7.5 million for 2010.

Western Slope Industries, a Grand Junction company that  manufactures machinery for the packaging industry, ranks 142nd with reported 2010 revenues of $7.1 million.

Rocky Mountain Sanitation, a Grand Junction firm that provides waste removal services, ranks 219th on the last. The firm has made the list three consecutive years and ranked 215th in 2010. Rocky Mountain Sanitation reported revenues of nearly $3 million last year.
