West Star Aviation has expanded its recruiting efforts to increase staffing at its facilities in Grand Junction and other locations.
“We have grown tremendously in 2018, and that growth has led to a need for top-notch technicians to join the West Star Family,” said Katie Johnson, vice president of human resources.
West Star Aviation has participated in a series of career fairs at aviation academies and colleges as well as at universities. Representatives from the company have been meeting with students and conducting interviews with applicants.
West Star Aviation provides maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services at facilities at the Grand Junction Regional Airport and Aspen-Pitkin County and Centennial airports in Colorado as well as at airports in Arizona, Illinois, Missouri, Tennessee and Texas.
West Star Aviation has been selected for five consecutive years as the top maintenance, repair and overhaul services provider in a survey conducted for the Professional Pilot trade publication.
“West Star provides a platform for employees to work at a No. 1 MRO and develop their craft while also deciding on a specialty,” Johnson said.
