Walt Marcy has joined West Star Aviation has avionics technical sales manager in Grand Junction.
Gary Schandl has been named director of quality assurance for all West Star facilities
Marcy brings to his duties more than 40 years of experience in aviation. He served on the boards of Collins Aerospace, Honeywell and Gogo. He also served in the Navy and holds a bachelor’s degree from Metropolitan State University in Denver. “I enjoy the technical aspect and have a deep-rooted interest in the evolution of avionics along with constantly researching to stay ahead of the technology curve,” he said.
Jerry Sheetz, manager of technical sales at West Star, praised the addition. “Walt’s many years of experience in avionic sales and operations makes him an invaluable asset.”
Schandl brings to his duties more than 45 years of aviation experience, including positions at Jet Aviation. He served 25 years as a designated airworthiness representative.
