Alyssa Hampson and Tanner Lindt believe they have a good idea to help new students at Mesa State College.
Hampson and Lindt have proposed a networking organization that connects juniors and seniors with new students. Upper classmen could help lower classmen with information about professors’ teaching styles, what classes to take and where to rent housing, among other things.
Hampson and Lindt were among the winners of an annual competition challenging Mesa State students to develop and present concepts for new business services and products. The Idea Challenge is part of Entrepreneurship Day activities at the college.
Hampson and Lindt placed first in the group competition.
Alex Swaynie capture first place in the individual competition with an idea for a snow board binding that converts into a snowshoe apparatus.
Sarah McQuire placed second for her fingernail polish remover press-on tabs.
Heidi Swain finished third with her weekly recipe and shopping list newsletter.
