Wine Country Inn names new executive chef

Michael Deremer is the new executive chef at the Wine Country Inn, where he oversees food service and event catering at the Palisade hotel.

Deremer brings to his duties 16 years of experience working in country clubs in Colorado and Florida and operating a catering business in Florida. He designed the Paradox Grill at the Gateway Canyons Resort and orchestrated its grand opening in 2004.

“We are pleased to welcome Chef Michael to our team and are excited to have his many talents, energy and fresh eyes on our culinary service,” said Ian Kelley, general manager.

At the Wine Country Inn, Deremer oversees food service in the Tapestry Lounge and Caroline’s Restaurant as well as event catering.

Starting Nov. 1, Deremer will bring lunch service back to the Tapestry Lounge from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. with an express menu. Caroline’s will continue to offer full dinner service from 5 to 9 p.m. daily.

Caroline’s is available for companies that want to buy out the restaurant for holiday parties. Upcoming events include a Thanksgiving buffet with 11 a.m. and 2 and 5 p.m.
seatings as well as Victorian Christmas teas set for 11 a.m. Dec. 8 and 15.
