An event that has brought wine lovers and others to the Grand Valley for 20 years is back on the schedule for a second venue in Denver.
What’s described as a “sister event” to the Colorado Mountain Winefest is set for June 9 to 11 at the Shops at Northfield Stapleton. The event will offer samples from many of the more than 100 wineries in Colorado as well as wine seminars, a wine dinner and chef demonstrations.
The Denver event is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m. June 9 with a celebration of premier Colorado wines at the governor’s residence. A Colorado wine dinner is planned for 7 p.m. June 10 in a tented outdoor venue at Northfield Stapleton.
The Winefest will continue from 2 to 8 p.m. June 11 at Northfield Stapleton with wine tastings, food samples and seminars.
Tickets to the Colorado Winefest in Denver cost $35 each — $100 for what’s being billed as a “VIP experience.” Separate tickets are available for the reception at the governor’s reception, wine dinner and a seminar on wine glasses.
The Colorado Mountain Winefest is set for Sept. 15 and 18.
Both the Denver event and Colorado Mountain Winefest are fund-raisers for the Colorado Association for Viticulture and Enology, a trade group for grape growers and wineries.
