The Western Colorado Chapter of the National Association of Women in Construction has scheduled its annual gymkhana for Sept. 24.
The competition is set to begin with registration at 8 a.m. at the sheriff’s posse grounds at 25 and F 1/2 roads in Grand Junction. Entrants in five age groups will compete in eight events testing horse riding skills. Belt buckles and other awards will be presented to the entrants with the most points.
An entrance fee of $6 per event or $40 for all day will be charged. The gymkhana is open to the public to watch and admission will be free. For more information, call 216-5801.
