The Western Colorado Chapter of the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) has scheduled its annual gymkhana for Sept. 18.

Registration for the event is set to begin at 8 a.m. Events will follow at 9 at the sheriff’s posse grounds at 25 and F 1/2 roads in Grand Junction.

The gymkhana will feature eight events for participants in five age groups: 6 and under, 7 to 10, 11 to 13, 14 to 18 and 19 and over. Belt buckles and other awards will be presented to the top competitors.

Participants will pay $6 for each event or $40 for the day. Admission to the public is free. For additional information, call 242-5370.
